Cave Diving and Instruction

There are several different styles and types of underwater diving. You have your choice of instruction as well. You can choose the type of diving classes you would like to take while learning how to dive. For exploring under water caverns and caves, cave diving classes and instruction is essential. Many take cave diving courses even if they do not intend to cave dive. This is because cave diving instruction is much more thorough. Students agree that they learn much more in cave diving than regular diving courses.

Cave divers are very aware of their environment, In other words they are environmentally sound divers. Cave diving instruction helps train you to be more aware of your surroundings, thus making you a better diver. You do not often see a cave diver drag their equipment across a coral reef. Cave diving instruction includes propulsion techniques, body positioning, and specialized buoyancy control. Cave divers are prepared to dive in overhead environments.

Cave diving and wreck diving are two very different types of diving. Students often take cave diving training to learn additional techniques that they can apply to wreck diving. One of the most beneficial aspects for a wreck diver to take a cave diving course is that cave diving instruction deals with penetration techniques. There is no way to be over prepared for underwater activity, especially cave diving and wreck diving. The more training and experience you have, the less likely you are to end up in a bad situation.

There are underwater caves found in Western Europe, the South Pacific, Brazil, Asia, Japan, and Hawaii. Some of these various caves that are scattered around the world are brighter and bigger than others. Many of them lack mercy and are cold, and your experience as a diver should determine the type of cave you should dive. Guides and instructors will usually point you in a good direction so that you will explore underwater caves that are at the proper level of safety according to your experience. Always listen to your guides!

The cold and mercy caves are not appropriate for beginning cave divers, nor are they appropriate for cave diving instruction. North American caves provide the best cave diving instruction locations as well as the most sought after recreational cave diving. The North American caves are found in such places as; Maryland, Virginia, Southern Ontario Canada, the Pacific Northwest, Nevada, Indiana, California, and Missouri.
